i would like to know how to fix a cv joint please....and what it is, since i might recieve a free 89 crx hf from my friend which needs to get rid of it asap....please any help with telling me and showing me picture of what it is and how to fix would really be appreciated...thanx

 

CV joints are like U joints- they are part of the drive shaft/axle.. and much like U-joints, they are easier to replace than to repair. they are usually only like 50-60 bucks from parts stores.

You have to remove the wheel, and disconnect the lower ball joint in order to replace an axle. not very hard..but possibly confusing if you have no mechanical experience.
