My odometer and gas mileage meter will randomly stop working...well actually they'll randomly start working and the majority of the time they don't. I've had this problem for a couple years now and at first i thought it was fairly spiffy since back then i always planned on selling the car eventually....but i've since modded it to the point where i'd rather keep it until it rusts into oblivion. So at this point I'd like to have an accurate odometer so I can keep up with routine maintenance and such....which is a little hard when the most accurate estimate i can make on the total mileage is between 60k and 120k.

I'd like to get it fixed so I don't run into the same problem down the road and was just wondering if any of you have had the same problem, or have any idea on how address the issue. Thanks in advance for your help.

BTW: When i refer to the gas mileage meter I dont mean the gas guage...i'm not sure of the technical term but you know what I mean.

 

speed sensor on trans going bad.

 

well I've recently replaced the speed sensor (the mechanical unit in the transaxle at least) so i guess that leaves the tranny. I hope thats not the case but if it lasts me until the h22a swap i guess it's all good. Thanks for the input.
