GSR or B16 head...

I've heard that the B16 flows better... Dont quote me on that....

depends on what you want to do, a gsr head will give you higher compression off the bat than a b16/type r head, however the pr3 heads do flow better...its up to you. Some more info would be helpful.

I just want the most power for around 2100 installed... I know I probably can't get a C5 head for that installed, but ive got some quotes for 1700 ish for a C1 head... I just want the most for the money.. Don't really have a lot to build the head right now either, just put a stock head in.

p.s, obviosuly im going to be using a vtec head.. duh ..

I say Type-R, and when you don't feel like LS-VTEC anymore, get a Type R block.

get a old school b16 first gen head, you can get them cheap. send it to portflow, and youll still be under 1700. thats what im in the process of doin.

B16's head flow the most, don't waste your time on a GSR or Type R Head, a B16 head is one of the best to use with a LS/VTEC + it's the cheapest

Yeah dont waste your time on a type r head cause b16's flow the most (just givein ya a hard time you were saying it like b16 head flows more than a type r)
If you can afford type r go for it. When your bulding your motor you can get pistons to whatever spec you want so you dont have to worry about the compression ratio being lower with a pr3 head.
You can also get your type r or b16 head milled to up the compression a little more.
I would either get a b16 and build it with ferrea valves, skunk2 springs and retainers and skunk 2 cams for amild all motor application.
Or get a type r and keep it a stock head maybe with a good set of cams. Or you can bild t and sell the stock parts anf gain some of yor money back. Just depends on what deals you can find.
just my .02

Could someone provide facts as to why the pr3 heads are better than the p72 heads?

I dotn really know where to look for "facts" how the pr3 heads are better that p72.
Facts are.
pr3 flows better stock vs stock and even ported p72 vs stock pr3 is close.
but the p72 gives higher compression
stock IM's are better on pr3

This is just my .02.

That is totally wrong. Look at the flowcharts at http://www.alaniztechnologies.com
