Default Audio console Part # please

i need to know what the part number for the stock honda Cup holder audio console. If you have any questions on what i am talking about, it is the console that moves the radio from the climate control area to the cup holder area, I Have seen some that have a door on them so that the rado can be hidden....any help would be nice. Thanks.

Im guessing you're talking about this part...for an Ek civic. These only came in 96-98s (i believe, i think the 99-00s were a one piece design...don't quote me on that)

number 14 in teh picture.

It should be part number NH178L, or you can go HERE and see for sure.

Well that part is what comes stock in the EKs I think, i need the one that allows for a CD player (aftermarket) or a stock CD changer, basically a single DIN CD player pocket. The stock one doesnt work, it is too narrow and honda makes a console for it.

It almost looks like it would be 6 and 3 togther.

I have a 96 hatchback, and my HU is down there in that pocket. I didn't have to buy any adapter to put it there. If you have a 00, then i bet that's the problem. The cupholder/pocket in 96-98s IS a little different than the 99-00s. Yours is a one piece design, whereas mine is i think three pieces.

Does Ne1 know for sure about this???

Here's some pics of my dash

this one is my theft deterrant. I left the factory HU in place so that at a glance it looks like i don't have an aftermarket HU. Sneaky huh?

i'm actually going to get the OEM cd-player that goes down there...that way...they won't want to steal it..and i have actual use for my tuner. even cooler, huh?

btw, anyone that has a 96-98 cd unit, i'll ***** for it.
