Default Getting new tire

My sister has a 2000 Accord V6 EX and she needs new tires. I'm just wondering what are some decent tires for low price?

I didn't like the Michelin MXV4 Plus tires that came with my '99, slid once too often on snow.

I replaced two of them with Michelin Pilot Sport (I think), though it was Sam's Warehouse Club brand, which is called the Michelin Radial X Plus (exact same tire, different name). Cost was about $105 per tire, mounted, with disposal of old tire and lifetime rotation. 195/65R15

Take a look at tirerack.com as mentioned above, but then take those prices to your local shops that carry the brand you are looking at and see if they'll price match tirerack's final price (price plus shipping). Here, for example, I know that a local Firestone store will pricematch tirerack; just call and ask (they'll know what tirerack is). Then I recommend paying $5 or $7 per tire to get a lifetime rotation on them. If you do buy from Tirerack, a reasonable fee for a shop to balance, mount, stems, and old tire disposal is ~ $12 per tire.

I just put Kumho Supra 712's on my 5th gen. I used to have Bridgestone Potenza RE950. I liked the RE950's but they didn't have the size I wanted this time so I went with the 712's. The only complaint I have so far is that the 712's seem to want to follow the road a little to much. I haven't gotten on them real hard yet but so far they seem to be a good tire. I paid about $350 out the door at Discount Tire Co. That included everything, lifetime warrenty and all.

Only complaints I have on kuhmo 712's are they suck in the snow and suck for launching. Great daily driver tire though.

In Kumho's defence, the 712's are not rated for snow. Anyone buying these tires should be aware of that and put different tires on for the winter months.

I just bought the Continental ContiExtreme High Performance All Season tires from http://www.tirerack.com. They are the highest rated all season tire and are only $70. Check them out.
