Yeah I don't want to become a "stolen" post. The R is staying home.
Thanks for the heads up on the area guys.

A friend, and a previous owner of ITR got his garage broken into in Long Island and car stolen.
Also, I hear about one stolen ITR every couple months in NJ/NY.
But then, there are others, like me and members of R-Speed that never had theft attempt. There are ways to protect it...just use common sense.

in LI, let's just say on the long island expressway exits 35 and up should keep your car safe from theft.
All the other ones below that are in queens, where theft is pretty common.

$300,000? That's like the price of a decent Condo in NY these days. You better start with at least $500,000 to start thinking about a house in Long Island and survive its land property tax.

Yeah, I know prices are outrageous there but $300K is all I really can afford. I will be working on Long Island which is why I would prefer to live there but if it is not possible maybe I should commute.
There were 3 ITRs at the M-club autox last Sunday. Seemed like a healthy number of ITRs at an autox for a ny autox. I'm just wondering though, since there's a few STi and EVOs out on the streets now here in nyc, wouldn't that bring down the desire to steal an ITR?
