Default may need pistons, head gasket

next week my head gets pulled off to replace bent valves (broken bolts on early z.speed cam gears). i realized (while on the train to work) that it's possible there may be piston damage due to clearance problems. the head has been milled thirty thousands which puts me around 10.8:1 (with stock pistons). i didn't plan on spending money on pistons right now but if i have to i don't wanna spend more than $3-400 (with rings, i guess). thinking about raising compression slightly, but don't wanna go much more than around 11:1 or lets say 11.2:1. USDM and JDM ITR's and even JDM GSR's take me well past this. so...
1) pistons, replace with: stock gsr? je/srp 10:1, 10.2:1, 10.4:1?? some other brand???
2) head gasket: stock? 0.47mm SCE copper or Mugen?? other???
right now i'm thinking stock head gasket and praying for no piston damage.

Default Re: may need pistons, head gasket (Go Mifune)

does srp only make 9.5 and 10.5? (B18C1)

what the highest safe compression ration for mostly street on pump gas? (soon to be 91 in CA, i've heard) i've read that 11.5:1 is a no no...
