Default boost on 4th gen.....replace pistons and seals??

im think of running boost on my 4th gen. my car has about 145000 miles on it. now, my main question is if i replace the seals, head gasket and pistons/rings, can i still run 7 psi daily?? also, should i go with a performance piston (JE, Arias, etc) or just run the oem replacement??

7psi daily, it's hard to say. I would recommend getting colder spark plugs and retarding your timing. Also make sure you run on 93 octance just to be safe. 7 psi isn't a lot since the f22 has very strong sleeves and can handle it. Check your spark plugs to see if they have traces of oil on the bottom of them, if they do then get new rings. If not they should theoretically hold up, since 7psi isn't a whole lot. I've heard that 6psi is very safe for daily driving, 7psi should be the same, any higher I recommend having all the engine work done... Although if you have the money for new pistons and rings and all the other stuff, go for it, but I don't think you *need* it for 7psi. But the ammount of miles on your car isn't the judge of the mechanical quality of your car.
