Just get some GSR front brakes and a 1" Master cylinder/brake booster combo.

Can't go wrong with a decent set of brake pads.

And what's up with the "JDM D15"?

Why not go with the D16Z? You can find one for less than you'll be paying for that.

You can't go wrong with either though.

Is the ride bouncy? It's probably your stock shocks that are giving you a problem. Those are good springs, they just need some aftermarket shocks to back 'em up

And mad props on doing the auto-manual conversion. You should post and let everyone know how it went when it's done. I had an auto myself at one time (different car than the one I have now) but didn't know enough to do the swap.

GSR brakes with some AEM pads is really an cheap and very effective set-up. I highly recommand it for a cheap alternative route.

Default Brembo Discs and Porterfields

Go with Brembo discs (~$90/pr) and Porterfield RS4 Pads($89). Night and day from stock. Also, bleed the brakes & put in so high quality fluid in there. I've got this setup in my lightly modified 92 Si and it works beautifully.
