What was the need for a second thread??? Like I said in your other thread, pushing up the power significantly will also significantly reduce the life of your already relatively unreliable transmission. That is a risk you have to decide if you want to take. I'm not sure what is so hard to understand about that. I've known people who have ran 75-100 shots of N2O on these trannies. I've known people to run 6 psi JRSCs on these trannies. All eventually failed. I'm running 9 psi, and have already accepted the fact that one day it will fail. If you are prepared to deal with that, then by all means mod the car. I'll tell you again what I said in your other thread and tell everyone else: get another car. No matter what you do, you will lose 20-30 whp than a comparable setup on a manual lude. Is that really worth it to you? That is a decision you have to make.

Comming from a guy who used to own a 1994 civic ex coupe AUTO and now owns a 1997 prelude MANUAL, MANUALS ARE GREAT!!! As far as the civic world goes, I have seen people put turbos on automatic cars. They hold up for a second, then the tranny blows. This guy is right and I second him from my experience that automatics are pretty cool to build up if you want to spend a loooooooooot of money but you would be better off just going for the manual route. With the civic, just to make it close to equal the power potential of a manual, I would have to do torque convertors, and other mods to the transmission, and when you factor that a good torque convertor costs $900+ you would be better off just buying a manual car in the first place. I wouldn't even recomend tranny swaps unless youve done so much to the car already that you can't go back. Even tranny swaps will run you money and make you hack your car up a big just to have a manual. In short, what sharkcohen is saying

u can sell your car and get an s13-4 with a real transmission and maybe even have money for an sr20det...i'm assuming you have a 5th gen that's worth 13,000. or buy a 4th gen and swap in a h22 w/ 5 speed. or you can look around and check kotetu's manual tranny swap thread. apparently it's not that hard, and worth it.

or you can pretend you've got a fast car with a clutch as you work the "tippy"

first things first, gotta have the right drivetrain if you're going to build a car...esp one with "350 whp, 320 lb ft, and 13 sec 1/4s."

automatics are a dead end, bro.
