Default tire size question (after doing a search)

I have a 92si and I just bought a set of 16x7.5 wheels and am looking for the right tire size to go with it. The wheel offset is +35. Is a 225 or 215/45-16 too wide? I talked to a guy who told me I should go with a 205/50 setup (I don't want to drop about two hundred per tire which is what the 205/45s were). Can anyone here help me out? Thanks

A 7.5" wide wheels should have 225 tires mounted on it to achieve the optimum performance especially we are running low profile (50 or lower) tires. If you are going with 205, a 6.5" or 7" wide wheels should do it.

Punching in the numbers, from stock you're off about .4% with a 225/45/16
