Which is the better engine a b16 or a b18, or is it the same, and if so which is the better model from b16 and the b18? Because i'm thinking about getting an 89 crx and i want the engine that will give me the best preformance with the least problems.

 

1st off, SEARCH BUTTON works wonders to do research.

2nd which B16 and which B18, There is a B16A1, B16A2, B16A3, B16B, B18, B18C1, B18C5, each one is different and has good and bad things about them.

If I have forgoten anything, People of H-T please help me and this poor soul out.

IMO-B18C5 or ITR
2nd choice B16A3
3rd choice B16A2

its hard to really say which is a BETTER because it's opinion. i think the b16a1 is better for me than a b18c1 because i cannot afford the b18. take into account how much you want to spend as well. sure, i'd love to have a b18c5 in my rex, but honestly, that would be a waste of a lot of money in my opinion, because i'd be in debt forever over just a motor.

but if you have a bunch of money to throw around, i'd turbo a b18c1...
