need new tires
okay last week i had a bubble on one of my front tires so i bought a new one it is a Toyo Proxes T1-S 195/55 R15 and it cost me $130 installed. Last week i got it aligned at the same shop and when i got it back it still pulled to the left. This week I brought it back and they said I should have bought a new tire for the other side too. Shouldn't they have told me this when i first bought the tire. This morning on my way home i ran over a nail and is partially in my sidewall in the rear so now i need a new tire. I was thinking about getting Azenis. Should i get them all the way around? and what would i do with my brand new toyo i just bought.
Was the nail in the new toyo? if not, just go to the shop and ask them to take that tire back and give you credit towards your new tire. Not sure if the shop will do that, but I know at Discount Tire they will usually take the tire back and you get credit towards the new ones, maybe not the full price but most of it
Its always a good idea to get the same tires all the way around. Imagine you wearing (2) different running shoe (right foot = nike & left foot = puma) and trying to run the 100 meter dash. Might be a little difficult, right? Same thing goes for your car.
You "bruised" it by running into something. Likely a belt has broken in the tire, causing a weak area where the air pressure is bulging it out. The recipe for a blowout. Drive 55 or less until you buy a new tire in the next few days.
Always buy the same brand of tire per axle. The newest tires go to the back wheels and the older tires, of a different brand, go in front 'til you can burn them up. The new tires in back help ensure that the best grip is back there.
Usually buy tires in pairs, unless they're pretty new. If the tires are old all the way around, then bite the bullet and buy four.
