Default can somebody teach me how to drive?

I am planning to go to track next weekend and i got some question on driving techniques.

1. When you warm up tires, how do you spin tires without car going forward?

2. when you launch, at what RPM do you guys launch?

3. one guy said it's better to shift around at 6k rpm rather than going all the way upto 7k (right before the red line, i have d16) because 6k is highest hp point. Is that true and do you guys so that too?

anyother helpful imformation will be appreciated.

umm hold the ebrake up and ur car shouldnt go anywhere while u spin ur tires.Mind u that is something u do with slicks.... i rather not do that with my street tires. 2 i would say around 3k or 3500k is good to launch, but then again u might wanna just try starting at 3k and keep trying until u find a sweet spot. i would say take it to 6500 that would be about right, but to be honest with the track its just all about going alot and practicing. Dont expect to much with that motor and ur driving. Maybe u can brake 16 but i kno if ur gutted that car can hit the high 15 for sure.

1) dont worry about it, you dont have slicks. all you need to do is DRIVE AROUND THE BURNOUT BOX and do a quick 3 second launch to heat the tires. if you do a burnout with street tires it overheats them and they grip less

2) that is somthing you are gonna have to play with. start at 2000 then move up 250rpm till it stops bogging off the line, if you go too high you will get wheelspin, then just back it down a little

3) go to redline.

often i drove off with E-brake on. (I forgot to release E-brake when i am in hurry and release it when i feel it) How can tires spin without car going foward? I drove many times with E-brake on. And spinning tires with E-brake on won't tense the E-brake line and breaks it finally?

Your car is not strong enought to break traction. That's why it's going forward. Just don't do it. You look dumb doing it without slick. It won't break E-line because there is no power apply to rear brake. Front wheels will drag rear tires with Ebrake on.

your not pulling your ebrake up high enough and not looking at your dash if you can do that. And your REALLY not paying attention if you backout everyday with the Ebrake.
