I have a RM and I put the silencer in its faster (back pressure) is this good or bad what do I do? leave it or get a new cat... thanks

 

What does getting a new cat have to do with your exhaust silencer? I'm sorry, but I dont understand your question.

What do you do about what, explaing your question would help. All im getting from that is that when you put the silencer on your rm you feel more power, which is from there being more backpressure which gives u more low end. Other than that I dont know what the hell youre asking.

 

Your original post made no god damn sense, nor any of the following posts to follow up on them.

I have a Tanabe Racing Medallion, and when I put the silencer in, it kills my topend HP. Just overall makes my car run like crap.

If you want to get a aftermarket cat. Get a carsound 2.5" from SMSP (that's his username on here)

Im with you on that one......what does the silencer have to do with a cat? if you wanna buy a new cat, go ahead. if you want to lower the tone, put the silencer on. what so hard about it???? get Random tech cat to have better flow i guess and silencer to reduce noise but restricts power. Hope the answer your questions.

uhhh...if the silencer is bad for your car, then either take it off or get a new exhuast that doesn't need a silencer

If you feel like it gives you more power putting the silencer on due to back pressure, then put it on. WTF I have a racing medellion myself and personally I think it lags the **** out of my car with the silencer especially in high end, not enough air releasing out. and to really answer your question, GO DYNO it, with and without the silencer, then you know whats best for you.
