difference(s) in Prelude/Accord differential?.......
i have an h22 tranny on my f22 motor in my 91 accord. i rebuilt the original f22 5 speed w/ all new syncs, 2-4th gearsets, and all the bearings/seals. when i had it apart, i also welded up the differential thus making it act as a spool. i drove it on the street like this for quite some time but alas, i swapped it in favor of the closer ratio h22 tranny.
i know find myself wishing for the added traction of the welded diff that my old tranny had. i would just pull the h22 tranny out, tear it down and weld the diff but if i can use the f22 diff, i will. i have heard that they arent the same differential and was wondering what the differences were.
is it the ring gear bolt pattern? i know its not the spline count because i use accord axles w/ the h22 tranny now.
any input would be great, thanks!
