Default R specific Koni's?

I was just wondering whether or not the Koni yellows/Sports are R specific. I asked for a price quote at shox.com, and they quoted me $504 with free shipping. Further down the e-mail I noticed that the rear shocks are TBA. What does that mean? Can anybody shed some light on the subject.

thanks,
Jon

They don't make Koni shocks that really fit on the R. The closest thing that fits is rear shocks from a 90ish CRX, but these need to get revalved if you're running high rates.

yes, Warren is exactly right. They used the CRX version. and must be adjusted internally (i.e. take out the shox and readjust).

GSR's can adjust with that Koni **** (which I hope to get today).

I'd look elsewhere for a shox for the ITR.

and get it at Shox.com!

LOL, specially modified... They're CRX shocks with the perch in a different location.

I installed my Koni Sports on my '97 R no problem. They were custom valved for the spring rates I use and I also got the rears externally adjustable, so you don't have to pull them off the car to adjust them. They work great!

That's basically what I have too. Modified CRX shocks by Truechoice. 400F/600R.

we have different rear LCA as compared to normal tegs. we just happen to share the same LCA with an 88 CRX.

koni will make externally adustable yellows for the R, but it starts to get expensive... may as well start thinking about coilovers, or mugen lowdowns...
