Spark plug issue...
I had an idling problem after I got my timing belts replaced & the shop installed new NGK blues. But after I failed my emission test just the other day, I decided to check for the spark plugs and other connections like other HT'ers told me.
Found out today, one of the spark plug was loose. It was so loose my wrench pretty much turned without any force. Now the port looks like it's been cooked, brownish colored like it's been on fire. The first port on the left was tight as hell to get it out. I don't remember tightening these things so hard and I almost want to think the shop had something to do with this.
Either way, I installed Bosch Double Platinum's and the idling issue has stopped.
Is the port being brownish color bad to leave it as is? The plug wires looked ok for all of them.
CLIFF: Idling problem, one spark plug was completely loose, port is shot, new spark plugs in, idling problem fixed.

Apply a thin smear of anti-seize to the threads before installing the plugs. 1/8 turn past tight is all you need.
The spark plug should be just fine as long as it didn't kill the spark plug well gasket and isn't affecting the seal and thread interface of the spark plug.

Thx...it was weird because the spark plugs were just cranked in there so hard I was having difficulty turning them. The shop I always go to did a great job every time now but I'm starting to get suspicious...
