How to put bare metal primer on...
Ok, considering everybody is telling me I'm doing this whole thing wrong, please, go ahead and tell me, every single little detail, bash the crap out of me. What do you think I'm doing wrong with my CRX and what would YOU do. And I already know some people are going to say primer last, fix the rust spot first, tape the windows and dont use a wirebrush because it will warp the body.

Just to put some minds at ease though, all the windows are out, doors are off, hatch is off and the interior is out. Also, if you say let a professional do it, don't post.

well....
dn't worry what everyone says.
There's a lot of ways going about it.
I like to lay some self etching primer down on bare metal, then a sandable primer, then a primer sealer, then your paint.
Wire wheel will work I guess...but you're just more likley to make some nasty scratches in the body. 120 grit on a DA sander will be fine.
If you're not ready to do metal work, then cut out the rest area, then throw some primer on for now. Otherwise, the rust will continue to eat at the body.
You're good bruh, people just do things differently
