Default My friends b16a dyno chart (comparing only,no bragging/$hit talking).

This is what he made with springs/retainers, 3 angle valve job, cam gears, no-name ecu chip, i/h/e/, fuel rail, ctr pistons, etc...
160 hp and 109.5 on the torque.

Stock cams, his head is from my old turbo b16a.

They might be automatic cams even, if memory serves correct that old engine was an automatic just mated to a 5 speed.

did he use a stock headgasket (3pc)?

Actually if I rememer correctly...auto B16's had different/less agressive cams then the 5spd on the older 1st gen b16's. I could have swore they were. Can anyone verify this?

I'm almost for certain there is such thing as automatic cams in first gen b16s I've heard that the vtec lobes are smaller.

Glad you found the post Savroll!

Now the world can see how your HF is, i guess for the parts/tuning that you are using it seem to be pretty good.

I think the header is a 4-2-1 DC right?

My old head/ecu is in the car that made 160, and it does have automatic cams. I should know, (since it was in my car and all).

At least the car had some fresh plugs in it for the dyno runs. I had some cold ls ones in there.

My car put down 164.2ps with 15.4kg-m of torque with these mods:
'98 dc2 theader
test pipe
miracle fireball cat back
Iceman cold air intake
NGK wires
HKS irradium sparkplugs.

Recently I put a spoon thin head gasket, ctr cams and toda cam gears. Drove it to the dyno to find out a car blew up on it earlier that day and the dyno would be down for 2 weeks while they clean up the oil/ metal, other random parts and reclibrate it. dam turbo cars ruining my fun.

Friends were skeptical if the internals of my engine were stock but all of the suspisions were layed to rest when we took the head off. p30 on top of all the pistions and the block and head still had alot of material left on it so we doubt they were ever milled or cleaned up. So we all agreed that I have a happy engine

Sorry imagestation resizes the pics. There is a 8x6 if you go and check out my album and click to view the full size. http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290900105

Nice. I have a few questions on that setup real quick. What do you have the Fuel Pressure set at? Also, it's kinda hard to tell from the chart, but where is the VTEC crossover located? It's kinda tough to tell. I can't tell if it's at 5700/5800 or lower like 5-5200 sinse there is a slight hump right there. Nice clean smooth power curve.

I dyno 162.3hp/102tq with stock bottom end and JUN III cams.... so looks like he's getting power from the block up and I'm doing the opposite... looks good so far. I hate that B16's have no torque.

is it the stock TB and Intake Manifold?

I put down 165hp/115tq on my b16 setup. It still needs some more tuning too. Get some cams and you'll see some nice gains. I'll be putting an ITR TB and IM on soon so we'll see what difference there is in the power curve.
