how do I know if I have a bad o2 sensor?

Exactly , i had a bad o2 sensor and my check engine light came on and it used to go away once in a while but would come back soon after ...by the way nice avatar loveless

Ground out the service connector in the passenger's footwell to be certain (half a paperclip works). It'll blink longs and shorts, which, respectively, represent tens and ones place digits, thus giving a specific numeric code for the problem.
when you drive, does it boggle from 0-3000 rpm's especially on first gear? I had that problem once, car boggle but after 3000 it ran fine. Check engine light came on, didn't know what to do and took it to honda for a diagnostic test. They said my o2 sensor was bad, swap it out and runs excellent now.
