I have had 3 tranny's in my Sol since ive had it, I finally switched it from a auto to a 5speed, since i got the tranny the #1 prob has been there, but its been 6 months and now im having prob #2 heres the probs

#1. the tranny wont stay in second and sometimes wont even go in it just burns the clutch, grinds in 3rd and 4th,

Im assuming its the synchros, does anyone know how much that runs to fix?

#2. The WIERD problem is sometimes (only happend twice but recently) My car will shift into say reverse but wont come out and i have the clutch in all the way, and the shifter wont move at all, and if i can get it into neutral i let off the clutch and it somewhat grinds and stalls, then once it somewhat loosen's up it begins to shift fine. Ive recently changes my passenger side axel could that have anything to do with it?

ANY REPLIES would be great, im clueless when it comes to transmission probs.

I have a D16Z6 motor, is that the kind tranny you have? If so man Gimme some price and I can see what i can do, take in mind I am pretty broke but i need this to get my car running right to make it to work and back. I'm very interested.

 

Sounds like your synchro's are jacked or possibly your shift fork could be bent or busted. i know this isnt the classifieds but i have one if u need it here is the link
