Quirk idle issues key issue at cold loop idle
Ok I'm baffled on this one. here is the story/book:
I have a 92 dx civic hatch. Pulled the dx motor out that motor ran fine.
I threw in a auto D16z6 setup minus the trans. Used the dx ecu while the p28 was getting chipped back to stock manual. So after we got the d16z6 in on cold start the idle jumps to 2250 and sit ups there. Seems a bit high to me!
And then after a good amount of driving and heats up it goes down to about 1100 and idles there tell I come to a almost complete stop or complete stop and then drops to what feels normal of 600.
My question is I figured this was the ecu issue but I just got the chipped proper ecu back from kenji and now it still has the same issues.
What should I suspect as the problem. Vac leak? Idle control? let me know what you guys are thinking. It's annoying and for it to spike to 2250 when it's cold concerns me on long term wear.
