I posted in this on one of the other boards but thought I would post here just to get some more feedback.

I am curious how much people have paid for their tint jobs? I'd just like to compare and see how much the difference is in different areas.

I just got mine done a few days ago. I went to this place that everyone recommends. Of course, I think I was charged a bit higher just because I have a Honda.

I also went with with the solar guard brand with the "life time" warranty (I think it was like 13% visibility). Overall, it looks like they did a pretty good job.

I did notice a small crease in the rear window and also a little bubble (smaller than a dime) on the passenger window. Does anyone know if that will go away on it's own or should I take it back and have them poke it out?

My windows are tinted... so i guess my car is rice

I don't think any tint job could ever be 'perfect', but if it's something that bothers you, you should ask them about it.

Your trial user icon is ghey. What a stupid *** response. I have my windows tinted because it is hot is california. It isn't rice buddy.

 

i got 17% quantum for 140 all around with no sun stripe on the windshield, that included the sunroof on my 99 SI

 

I paid 140 in Phoenix and they had to take off the old tint too.

On white civics, tint looks nice.

the car I just bought had a receipt for $199 tint job all around.

 

I got mine tinted for 200

Same here! It is hot as **** in FL. Obviously, this time of the year is even worse.

Also, I agree, it is probably pretty hard to do a perfect tint job. I just noticed that bubble and a small crease in the rear. I guess I will give it about a week and see what happens. If it still bothers me, I'll take it down and show the. LOL...after all, I did get the "lifetime" warranty. Haha...damn sales ploys.

anyways, i paid $130 for all around tint

 

I live in mass. and i got mine done for $90 all around. back windows are limo tint and my front door windows are mass legal tint. i get pulled over all the time for them but i never get a ticket cuz it's not illegal to have just the back windows tinted. (by back i mean the 2 triangle windows and the back window)

yeah they do, i got solar guard quantum tint on a white civic, 20% in the back and on the visor strip, 35 and 50 on the sides, it looks dope. far from "rice" as that tool put it. it was $200
but to some people any cosmetic mod that makes your car look better is rice now

I think it actually looks pretty good with the darker tint. I got the sun strip also. They don't tint sun roofs at the place that I got it done but I didn't want it tinted anyway.

It's funny because this place is actually pretty reputable. But, if they are doing illegal tint, they won't give you a receipt. They will give you a little card with your name and date.

there is nothing "ricey" about window tint. If done right, it adds so much to the car visually IMO. Especially on civics with nice limo tint, on a black civic..ooooooooooo...not to mention the fact that in the summer, your car isn't going to feel like a sauna (sp) when you get into it.

 

i've gotten my windows tinted on every car i've owned, and the most i've paid is $150 for mirror tint on a 4 door

Yeah that's just stupid. Tint adds privacy, makes your a/c tons more efficient, saves interior colors, and for the most part improves the looks of any vehicle.

Oh yeah, and 15% Llumar $140

 

I was thinking about getting that done. I don't know the law for CA though. Anyone know the max legal tint here? also how good do you think that would look on a red coupe?

i just got mine done like last week as well

went to this place called solar eclipse - i got this 3m carbon fiber film which blocks off the heat from sun. got 20% all around with sun banner for $220 life time warranty. I am overall satisfied with the work, looks real nice

now i can smoke up my car and not be seen

thank you rice police. shut the **** up. people tint windows in Japan. Its not about making your ride super dope, its about not dying of ******* heat exhaustion. why dont your bring your silly *** down here to Houston and see if you dont want tint after 5 minutes...

I have had my car for three years, and I put it off every summer. Every week, I am going to do it next week...I think I actually might next week. hahaha

window tint is window tint...nothing more, nothing less.
