Default LS Crank in a b16? (Theorys, Deck plates, Strokers)

I know the stroke is 12mm longer but what is the deck height of a b16 and b18? What size deck plate would have to be run if any? I know crower make a stroker kit for a b16 that turns it into a 2.0 ltr (WOW!!!) so what is in the kit and what is the stroke of the crank?.

thanks
mike

If the crower stroker kit was to creat 2.0 L of displacement and keep the 81mm bore, the stroke would have to be ~97mm.

I think there is a 7mm difference is block height between the B16 and the B18 block. B18B/C block = 270 mm B16A block = 263 mm.

EDIT: I just looked at the Crower site. The 2.0 L stroker kit had a 89 mm stroke and you have to resleeve and bore to 84 mm.

You're right, a 2.0 L engine is damn nice. 2.0 L out of a B16A without a deck plate is stupid.

so you guys say that it can be done? b16=81 mm bore and 77mm stroke... so with just a ls crank and of course rods pistons you can stroke it to 1.8. There must be no problems with clearance of any sort.

thanks

the oil squirters must be bent/adjusted to clear the crank counter wights. Also you would have a HORRIBLE R/S ratio...6000rmps doens't sound too fun.....

we were running a 89mm crank w/82mm bore 12-5-1 comp pistons
in a crx h-f had to notch the block and remove the oil squirters but the
displacement was
Number of Cylinders are = 4 to 1
Piston Diameter = 82.000 Millimeters
Piston Oversize = 0.000 Millimeters
Engine Stroke = 89.000 Millimeters
Computation Results:
Computed Engine Displacement (CID) is 115
Computed Engine Displacement (Litres) is 1.9
Computed Engine Displacement (CC) is 1880.1

this kit was built by skunk-2 way back in 99-00
the same kit used in there allmotor integra when they were running a b16a w/higher compression of course..
our best et before the motor had to be rebuilt was 12.86@104 w/stock head...

I have a built b16 i haven't assembled yet....and i also have a few ls blocks laying around...what all would it take to stroke it to a 1.8. i'm wondering if i would be able to use the forge pistons i have now or not....the way the motor is built right now i'm looking at around 10.6 comp.

I personaly would only run a TODA or Jun stroker kit for the b16 then later down the road bore it out to 84.5mm.... which would make it a 2.0

a stock LS will have a better R/S ration than a B16 w/LS crank. short rods+long stroke=low redline.
