Im lookin for some new wheels soon, i currently have volks 17inX7.5 te-37's with some 205x40x17 tires. These rims bend so easily and is getting weak as they are being fixed. Id just bent them again tonite and gonna fix em again and sell em to get some new ones. What do u people recommend. Im gonna stick wit 17's. Im lookin for a rim stronger than the te-37's (strong as advertised my ***) well maybe because i live in NYC pot hole heaven. Do you people know if the volk gram lights pro's, advan rg's are more stronger than the te's? know of any sites with strenghs of rims? will a bigger tire like 205x50x17 fit in my 95civic hatch so that theres more cushin for the rims? Any help and recommendations will be great. Thanks

I think that it is just the roads that you drive on and the way that you drive... I live in so. cali where there are a lot of pot holes.. maybe not as much as NYC.. but just change your driving style.. or get a set of beater wheels..

Volks are pretty strong.. As long as you stick w/ reputable brands.. I.E. Volks, Racing Hart, Advan, Mugen... and drive slower..avoid potholes.. you should be fine

For me..after I got my 17 3pc RH C2's.. I completely changed the way I drove.. I slowed down at bumps and cracks.. avoided potholes.. didn't drive as much.. I have hit a few really hard.. But the RH came out ok

6 months later.. only 1 curb scratch.. no bends at all

 

I do drive slower and dodge pot holes and bumps, but sometimes it is unavoidable. I guess that it suxs for me since my cars a daily driver.
