sound of marbles spinning = BOV fluttering???
I couldn't figure out why if i slightly press on the gas, and let off (without getting into boost) i hear this whacky *** sound like marbles moving around... it can't be pinging, b/c i'm running 93 octane on my sohc civic.
by the way its a greddy sohc kit and greddy type s BOV.
any ideas?

yep, might want to check the ignition timing settings. sounds like pinging to me.

hmm could be something loose on/near the motor, but it seems like it's "pinging".
maybe under deacceleration the fuel map isn't set right, maybe running lean.
or maybe a combonation of the fuel and ignition.
so does it do this at idle?
or just when you rev it up, hit a certain rpm and then let off?

full throttle and release, no problems at all.
if i press very very lightly and let go (like staying below 2-3k rpm,) i get this noise.
the thing is.. i thought it was the BOV valve, cuz the sound of this would alter depending on how fast or slow i release the gas, and also my BOV makes a whistleing sound even when i'm not even boosting much (which i can't figure out how to fix)

i guess i could very well be the BOV or something related to it.
i'm not a turbo expert to be honest with you so i'm not sure how i could help you with the BOV situation. it may be something not even linked to the BOV or pinging, maybe something else loose.
have you checked everything very carefully under the hood to rule certain things out?

well i'm gonna adjust the BOV this weekend to see if it helps, but i don't think its rattling if you're thinking that cuz it only happens when i rev low and let go of the gas
