Default Another satisfied Cobal Friction customer!!

Well I just installed my Cobalt GT-Sport pads and I wanted to say thanks to Andi and his staff for getting me the pads in 2 days, wise advice about an upgrading my Metal Masters and great service when they called me to confirm my address and let me know the pads were on the way out the back door with UPS that same day I ordered them!! Let's hope they give me some needed bite to trophy this weekend.

I hope ya'll can make it over to the back side of Sebring this weekend to see what CFR is all about at our Auto-X. We should have over 125 cars by the Sunday running.

I'm sure others would love to hear about your product for Auto-Xing and you might meet some of the other HT members in person.

Thanks again!

I have to agree with you; I just ordered a set of pads for my Integra and CRV. Andie was very helpful and nice to talk to. I highly recommend Cobalt for any of your brake needs.

While were sending out props for brake pads and service, thought I'd mention I picked up a set of Carbotech's new Bobcat pads. Our very own MaddMatt was very helpful. I'll be putting them on my G Stock Impreza this weekend and can't wait to try them out. I'll provide feedback shortly.

Well, I gotta hand it to Pep Boys. I walked in, and within 4 minutes, I had a set of Raybestos PGP front pads in my hand. The service was fast and courteous. Hopefully these "puppies," once I throw them on the car, have the bite to slow the car to a stop at those pesky red lights and stop signs!

hey, don't dis Pep Boys. those are the pads I race on in H1! the only pads they have worth a sh@! are the "Raybestos Nascar Select Ceramic Enhanced" variants. they work well on my H1 hatch. last about 4 to 6 events, depending on track. very very easy on the rotors, almost zero dust, and best of all; I have only had to pay for one set for the last 4 years!

to Pep Boys!

I'm not dissing them! I praise them! I had never thought about going to Pepboys for pads until you told me you bought your "Accord Wagon" pads there.

Mike-who actually does use these on his car sometimes.

Why? Should I have started a separate thread or something?

yes, why would you post that here? the thread title does not read "props to Carbotech"

they do good business, seel a good product, and everyone knows that, they also get a lot of credit in this forum, why post something like that in a thread giving Cobalt some credit?

does that make any sense?

Wow, sorry dude. Are there rules against this or something? I didn't diss Cobalt or anything did I? I was just pointing out I got good service from Carbotech and didn't feel the need to start a whole new thread for it. Damn.

well it was distastefull IMHO wether your intentions were noble or not

Matt is a friend of mine and so is Andie, they both build qualitry products and have great service, however a post like that in a thread that specifically is for a manufacturer is not cool, there is always someone who will read this and take it the wrong way like has happened in the past

this would apply wether this was an AEM/Cobalt/Hawk/Carbotech praise thread, can you see what I am talking about?

while you may have interpreted this thread as a cobalt-only praise thread, others may simply have seen it as an opportunity to discuss pads and service. Given that this is not a paid advertisement for cobalt, you have no right to tell people what they can and cant post. (and why not comment on the pep boys review...?)

i should probably add that I run the Cobalt Spec Bs and Spec Cs on my PS-1 Ford Probe GT. they are the only pads I have run that can get the car to stop semi-well. other racing pads have failed in the attempt. I won't name any manufacturers, though. the Probe's brake system sucks, and the Cobalt pads really helped to make the most of a bad situation. I am super satisfied with the Cobalt product and the Cobalt service from Andie!

i'd never run the Pep Boys pads on the Probe, as i am sure they would fade out in short order. but the brake system on the H1 Civic is so good that the Pep Boys work fine and economically it makes sense for me. i'm a cheapskate, and that's that!

BTW- I still can't believe Todd races on Pep-Boys pads. But........ I know he does.

John- who thinks Morgan's kinda' funny with all the self-hating remarks.

I'm getting nothing done with this DAMN web-site. H-T is my crack. Glad I'm on Vaction next week.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I think we can all imagine what h-t would look like if we all started making use of these kinds of thread too often (one per person would suffice). Just a friendly thought.
