my hood closes and sometimes wont close
whats the dealio?? it is annoying as hell sometimes and other times it just goes shut like it should

so far i put some grease in it and messed with it with a flat head to get the junk out of mechanism

i have a 95 civic btw

 

pull the cable next to the mechanism... its time to change the cable. it stretched.

 

Is it just the mechanism that's tight or, are you hood bumpers too high?

Yes, those two screw bumpers on the left and right side by the headlights.....they are adjustable for proper hood positioning.

 

There is also an adjustment on the latch itself. You can loosen one of the bolts to move it just right. I had to use that with my cf hood.
