Default What's a good downhill racing (initial d style) setup??

haha.. ok, my Japanese roomie and I are yelling at each other, and he wants me to stop being an "American panty-liner" and start doing downhill... I'm from northern Ohio, and it's REALLY hilly in a lot of places, and quite possible... so maybe not entirely mountain terain, but definitely close to WRC caliber (almost 500 miles of dirt roads). So, I've decided I don't want a quarter-mile monster, I want a car that will tear it up on dirt/snow/narrow country roads... any parts/tunings you guys know about especially suspension?? Thanks.

(Oh yeah, and I did a search.. haha.. NOTHING)

Honda's normally don't go off road. That is one reason why I have not seen a honda in the WRC. Mazda 626 is a good car and WRX STI also.

There are lots of honda rally cars out there, including mine, I have a GREAT set up for the big dirty.

few things to get

-ROLL CAGE!
-harness and helmet.

-Rally tires, I run Kuhmo r700
-There are many makes off rally suspension. I am running Billstien HD shocks, but you can spend WAY more if you want
-LSD, I would go with Quaife
- REAR DISKS for you hand brake, and for LFBing.

My car was run bone stock, and still did well, and was fast on gravel.

PM me if you want lots of info.

sweeeeet... Mwahahaha... I know it can be done, those little HB's are pretty balanced... I'm thinking something not so severe.. maybe a daily-driver/off road. I wanna get the LSD for sure, the disks are a biggie, and the harness... hmm... I know the car is an FF which gives it some advantage (except over 4wd)... but any specific suspension parts I should look for? Like Makers or dealers? Thanks!
