Which Mounts HAS or Place?
I have Place Weld In and haven't had any problems. It helps with the power that is being pushed around here and doesn't have any drivability issues! I recommend these.

depends... place racing places the engine a little closer to the radiator as with hasport its closer to the firewall.
so if youre going turbo hasport is better cuz you get more room up front, and go place racing if youre going all motor cuz you get more room in the back for some ITBs
But, i believe both uses polyurethane bushings, i know my place racing one came with it.

I used hasport and love it I used my stock on eand cut it down 2 and 3/8 an inch and I got my axles from the shop in cali called (one stop) they are made for that swap. if you have any more questions e-mail me I just got done doing mine so it is still fresh in my mind.

does anybody know how hard it would be to copy one of the hasport mounts?
where can we get the bushings to fit these also?

hey Bart
I just got mounts from HCP Engineering for an incredible price..
Im doing the swap on August 11th..
I did a pretty good amount of research on the mounts before I purchased them and although some say that they are inferior to HAS everone Ive talked to that acutally used the new HCP kit loves it..
plus its $375 with shift linkage...cant beat that..
PS see you at Niagara 8!!

i have place racing's mounts and shift linkage and am pleased. they are very strong (give a lot of vibration through the steering wheel) and clear USDM hoods.
two things though, my experience with their SERVICE SUCKED and i've had 1 problem with the shift-linkage. my car's swap was postponed for 2 months because we (me and modern garage in SLC) were waiting for them to send some of the pieces. and the shift-linkage was replaced and at no cost to me.
hope this helps.
