I paid that much for my 93 hatch in january of 98, so IMO that is too much. I would not buy one with any mods done to it either. Try to find one that is stock.

I'd offer 3500 and then when he says no (we will say no) go up a bit. Don't offer any more than 4100-4200

dont get red and consider other options. older HB civics can be just as good as an EG for the same money. Also look at Nissan 240's or the Sentra SER maybe even an eclipse. If I was buying an early 90's car right now I would most likley go with a mustang because you can make them fast cheap, there are many aftermarket products that can make it handle and brake verry good, and the replacement parts are cheap. Civics are not all they are cracked up to be, and never were. I only have mine because it is paid for. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun car to drive and mess with, but there are many other options.

Depends on the shape. Mine is in relatively good shape and I'm selling for $4500. I started at $5000 though. Maybe the guy is just starting high like I did.
