Default ATTS screwin ME???

heres my deal. I have a type sh swap (h22a4) engine tranny etc in my 94 accord. I realise that the atts unit itself has weight to it and that it will slow me down a little bit. However, I am gettin killed by stock sh's left and right. It just isnt as fast as it should be. BTW< My atts unit is not plugged in.

Heres the question:
Am I losing large ammts of power because I am pushing the atts? I didnt drain the atts fluid, but does it come out when the axles are pulled? Any other possible explanations or ideas are welcomed and greatly appreciated. Thanx and sorry for the lengthy post.

I checked for stats on a '94 Accord (2 door) - 2800lbs and some change. The SH is 3042lbs dry. I don't know what's causing your slow down...but going by the numbers, you should be faster.

Tell us exactly what you are doing when you are racing the other cars..

what revs your are launching @etc, etc...also what tires are you using..

In addition, when are you losing, from a roll, launch...2nd gear..what?

Driver is everything, you may not know as much about the H22 powerband/capabilities as the guy you are racing.

I dont claim to be a great driver,, but i know Ive got problems w/ the car because I raced a stock sh, then I drove the stock sh and my buddy drove my car. In the sh ,, I killed my car. So whereas, I can always improve as a driver, I dont think that is my biggest problem at hand.

with equal launches, I am getting killed in every gear. Also,, I dont feel near the torque in my car as I have in other similar swaps and stock sh's.

Why did you get an SH motor and not a Base motor?

The ATTS unit would do nothing for you.

I am fully aware of that now. However, at the time , I had done no research at all, and a buddy of mine got a wrecked lude at an auction and offered me a great deal for "everything I needed" for an easy swap. He said it was a newer and top of the line model lude. SO I jumped on it. It wasnt untill I was done that I found much easier and smarter ways of doing things.
