Question on powdercoating...
I've recently been told that there are methods to powdercoat high-temperature items, such as a header.
I am curious as if there are "candy" colors available rather than standard "solid" colors.
What I am after is to refinish my GReddy stainless steel header which is now looking like crap after about a year and a half. I would *LOVE* to get a black anodized look to it. I was told this is accomplished by chroming, then putting a candy color over top.
Any thoughts?

East Coast Powder Coating here in Jacksonville did my B16A valve cover OEM Type-R wrinkle-red for $40, and did a very good job.

Anyway, right next to the front door they have about 4 dozen coke cans (or more) powdercoated in all their different colors/finishes. They do candy coated 2 stage applications if I remember right.

That's awesome... Got a phone # or website address for them?

I can't remember the name of the guy that runs the place. Just tell them Luke told you about them. Tell him I'm the guy that had them do two Honda valve covers in Dec (one red and one blue). They should be able to hook you up.

What are the colors like? I'm really set after something unique for a header.
