adj cam gear installation Q
Ok I admit it, I'm just being lazy but......
can I install this without removing the lower timing cover? Just slip the old gear off and the new one back on without pulling the crank pulley and lower timing cover. I figure that I can always turn the crank afterwards and see if I slipped a tooth on the timing.
Or should I just suck it up and pull everything off?

You can drill a hole in the cam gear cover, about the size of the gear, so you can make quick timing adjustments if you prefer.
Also, DO NOT FORGET TO TORQUE THE ADJUSTMENT BOLTS ON THE CAM GEAR TO SPEC. If you don't you could get a cam gear slipping a ° or 2, and you will be asking for trouble. Seize the bolts with red locktite.
