What is the biggest muffler I can fit in my EG Hatchback with ITR Swaybar? or a good chambered muffl
I got a 93 Civic CX Hatch and will soon have a rear itr sway...
My N1 style muffler is getting annoying... TOO LOUD. I don't want to go to a non-straight through muffler so I'm going to try and get another straight through muffler like a magnaflow or sebring or something... something cheap..... i know the bigger the muffler, the more it dampens the sound usually so I wanna fit the biggest one possible under there.....
Anyway, what is the largest dimensions I can fit under there? a 14" body (5"8") magnaflow should fit right? part # 12215 if you know what i'm talking about...
would a longer body fit? maybe the 18" body like part # 12245
If not, what are some brand decent chambered mufflers? how much hp loss are we talking here for like a dual chambered muffler? anyone know if the old RSRs or Apexi WS/RS mufflers are dual or 3 chambered?

try Dyno Max.....I had it....really quiet down low and a lil deeper at high rpms.....and cheap price too, I fit a pretty big one my hatch but that was years ago no real details.......

Anyone know? I'm sure someone has to have some dimensions for me?
AT least can someone confirm that a 5"x8"x14" Magnaflow will fit?

the ITR muffler (the actual can) is about 19inches and they fit... tight.... but they fit.
the only other way to find out if it fits is by getting under the car w/ a ruler or measuring tape..... get to it buddy and good luck!

Go with the 14".
If you go with an 18" or especially on ITR, it will make working with the control arm bolts and anything concerning the rear swaybar a huge pain in the ***. You'll have to remove the muffler.

i don't know about quiet on the dynomax because my brother and friend had one with 2.5 and it was loud as hell...

I've seen guys used the S2000 muffler on EG's with rear ITR swaybar before. I don't have exact measuring, but maybe this may help a bit.
