i leak oil too, but not very much.

I burn a small amount of oil through the turbochargers exhaust seal, but i belive this to be mostly normal, because it's not a precision or turbonetics, it doesen't have the stepped seals. Precision turbos have theese, correct?

im not sure how much i burn, but is very minimal. a quart every 500 doesen't sound right.

Haven't driven it in so long... But I was burning/leaking a quart ever 20 miles for some time. Mostly leaking because the oil filter bolt that went through the oil cooler backed off some. Oops. BAD ENGINE BUILDER!

I burn about the same amount. I have the same size block... 2 litre with 84.5 pistons. Im not sure what the actual problem is but I was told that it is normal for new motors to go through a little bit extra oil. hope that helps some.

hmm i don't think thats normal ethier. You sure you don't have a small leak somewhere? try throwing a clean white towel under the car for a night after you just ran it and see. Any oil on your spark plugs? Have a friend follow you as you drive and see if its smoking out of the exhaust, it may not burn it at idle. Otherwise i'm sure a leakdown test would show if there was a internal problem or not.
good luck.

my problem was too much oil blow by. I wasn't burning the oil cause it was going out of my breather valve before the combustion could go at it.

maybe your rings haven't sat right or shittiy install.
