Yup, I'd have to agree. I had the exact same ones back in 96, gunmetal with a red lip

 

sorry but those look disgusting imo.. maybe if they had a polished lip or something..

 

Yeah I think red rims are an aquired taste.
I dont care for the design either.

acutally if they are indeed the rota N1, they do not come in that orange/red color. i believe rotas made them in silver w/ polished lip and black or gunmetal w/ polished red lip. i however, have always like them! not too sure where you can get them these days. considering that they are discontinued, they are pretty rare to spot.

usually come with black / red lip and a NASTY machined center that sticks out like a sore thumb
