Front Plate Removal Question
Quick question.. how many bolts are holding that front plate? I want to get mine off tonight and figured I'd ask before I go home and take it off.. Should be relatively easy.. (at least I'm assuming it is).. 2 holding the plate and front, and 1 underneath? is that it? Thanks in advance.
Depends on what bracket they used. I have seen a couple of different ones, but I think they all mount in similar ways. There are two 10mm (if I remember right) bolts holding the plate to the bracket. Then two more securing the bracket to the holes in the bumper (these are concealed by the plate). Then one holding the little arm that extends from the bottom of the bracket into the grill. Just pull off the plate, remove the 3 bolts undeneath, get yourself some honda bumperplugs matched to your paint and viola! Clean front end

No doubt, now just watch out for the coppers =P (if you're in a state that requires front tags). Here in MD the ticket isnt a biggie its just like 50 bux and you dont even have to put it back on. If you just get one every once in a while and pay it, not a big deal

that's true..ohio does have a front plate law....which is quite annoying... $50 ticket isn't the concern..my concern is..will it go on my MVR. I don't want an Equipment violation on my record.....or does it?
I have no idea how Ohio does it, but I dont *think* its a moving violation here in MD at least. So I doubt it affects you negatively anyway. TOTALLY WORTH IT =D

DOH.
put the plug in for the right 2 holes, but on the left 2 holes, the holes are significantly bigger (and no threads).
is the part # for the left plug different from the right? am i missing something here?

There should be threads on both sets of holes. On the inside of the bumper, there is a metal piece that are what makes that part "threaded". It's hard to explain. But yeah, if you order the plugs from Honda, both sides are the same.
I believe they are $6.38 each. I got them a couple of weeks ago. Looks great.
