well i found a ls crank out of a 91 b18a motor for 20 bux and it would be a good deal if it would work but i have heard that the ls motors have a longer stroke and it wouldnt work but i am open to 2nd opinions....

I believe it will work from ls rods but I have no first hand experience with it.

i was waiting for one of the seniors to chime in. so i need to disregard what other people have said about the ls having more stroke than the gsr crank ?

do u guys think that it is safe to put a 91 b18a ls crank in a b18c1 block will it be ok? thanx vtecvoodoo

well i have been talking to the guy on vtecatlanta.com the one thats selling it and he said that if i use the crank in the gsr block i have to use ls rods because if i use gsr rods with a ls crank the pistons will be coming out the top of the block does that sound right? also if i were to use ls rods would the je pistons i have that are for a gsr motor will the ls rods bolt up toi the pistons or will i have problems?

It`s basically an ls/vtec setup just using a gsr block. Now you`ll have oil squirters and no external oil line. A frew friends have the setup an dtheir cars run strong.

why not just get aftermarket rods and pistons while you're in there?

you need to match the rods with the crank. ls crank = ls rods. gsr crank = gsr rods. the LS crank will give you ~50 more CCs. i think its somewhere in the mid 40s but im not positive. but it throws your r/s ratio down a bit. i would go ahead and get eagle rods then...
