What's up w/ the "Anything but Exedy" choice?? I have been running one w/ a Toda flywheel on my Si now for more than a year. Other than some chatter when cold, this setup works great for me. Did I get lucky??

Action (not ACT) kevlar here. 21,000mi with no problems. Stock like feel and loving it.

Your SI isn't an R and the Type-R has been seen to have plenty of problems with the Exedy OPrganix.
My vote goes to Stock or ACT if you need something other than stock.

My imput is that i think that act is the worst clutch ever made. i know at lease 5 people personaly who have had mojor clutch problems with act. from getting weak very fast(me) to the splins stripping out to exessive chatter/ slipping to straight blowing up. all sept the one with the splines stripping out had very low miles on them below 7000 . i still have my stage 2 and it seems worse than my old CM stage 1 in my old ls motor (now i have a itr motor). i am going to switch to CM stage 2 or 3 maybe try the new CM multi plate system ill leave a thread on the multi plate if i get it in......
Well depending on what your mods or plans are with the car...I wouldnt go off neutral advice here..considering..every different company may or may not have the right application for your needs
about the chattering a guy i knew was saying something to the efect that his pressure plate was some how defective and was making this funky noise when working the clutch moderitly. i never saw his stuff but he said.
You should also note what kind of power your car will be making and what it will be used for.
I for one know my car will never make extreme power levels (probably never more than 200whp). I was also very happy with the stock ITR clutch pedal feel. That said since I was replacing it I wanted to put something in there that would last, have smooth engaugement, and a soft pedal (like stock). Therefore I went with the Action Kevlar disc with the single diaphram pressure plate. I had an issue with it slipping with only a 1,000mi on it after I did a few back to back 7,000rpm drag launches (with no cool down time mind you), but then I was informed on Kevlars high friction/heat producing properties. I have since had NO problems with it after 20,000mi of use.

Toda clutch
which is made by the same company that makes exedy
. I had the ACT HD pp and street disc and i like that too. But I have heard bad things about ACT (basically rebuilt stock clutches) blowing tranny's and not being able to handle high revs. But I never had a problem with mine, sometimes i miss it. But toda clutch is good chit! ~ 13k miles and handling 9k rpms like a champ
