I think i want to trade my integra for my friends civic cx with ls motor. My car is in great shape but has high miles (130k) but my compression checks out great. My ac is not working is all that is wrong and its something simple to fix but i am just lazy b/c i dont use it. I will be keeping my seats and progress suspension. Car has custom paint with type-r bumper/lip and 3 pc wing flush mounted. GREAT SHAPE!!!!
HIS CAR. Civic cx with ls motor and gsr tranny (40k) on motor but he races alot. Needs a paint job b/c its beat up. Needs windshield, no cat, exhaust is too loud. Interior is a little but i can take care of that with a littletime. Has FI c/f hood. What would i ask for in cash to go with this trade. I was thinking along the lines of $2500 or so.
Please help me out and give me some input.

Do a used car price comparison on http://www.kbb.com to get a round about number to play with.
It doesn't sound like a good trade for you. IMO.
Sell your car and buy a Civic and drop a GSR engine in there yourself. And you'll have $$ left to spare for suspension and so on. Don't by a "raced" engine, even if it's your friend's car.

what year is his civic?
I'd think you could build your own for a very good price if you sell yours first. Plus you can get a GSR engine for about $3k and beat your friend. An LS engine can be had for way cheaper. Do it right. Do it yourself. You can use your friend's knowledge of swaps to make your own instead of rebuilding an LS engine.

DID I NOT JUST POST THIS SAME QUESTION A FEW MONTJS AGO, JIM? And what did you say? I don't think you should, The teg is more comfortable. i would say keep it so I can keep buying the stuff you don't want anymore, hehe.
And if you do trade, you better still trade me wings before you give it up.
Whatever you do, just know I will always be there to offer my expert opinion.
(HAHA, ......joking)
