Sup guys, just installed my CAI today. Took it out for a test drive and about 100 feet later the throttle just stuck. Restarted again and same thing happened so I look under the hood and the throttle cable is loose, I get a wrench and tighten it. Now it looks about spec with about 10mm deflection and I start it again and without touching the throttle it shoots to about 5K. I check it again and no luck. Any suggestions. Thanks.

 

take the cai off and take it too the dealer.

 

do you have the bypass valve? Maybe some of the inner stuff fell out and is lodged in the throttle body?

 

Naw, I have never taken any of my cars to the dealer before. Any way took it off and found a freakin' packing peanut in between the throttle plate. OMG am I lucky, thats the one thing I always check for when putting on my intakes but this time I forgot. Thanks Black-R.

hahaha, that's funny... I don't know why, but to have a packing peanut getting stuck on your tp.
