yea thats my next project, stick with the b16 and stroke it to a 1.9 or, buy a complete gsr, and build it
my goal is 10's, and the gsr would get me there, but gsr's are everywhere, and not too mant people are fast with b16's here i wanna try to be somewhat different

gsr's up here are going for about 4-600 cdn, thats about 2700-4500 us roughly
thats complete motor, tranny,ecu,axels
so if i get a hold of a acrua 1.7el, which you never got, i can drop the crank and rods in?
the acura el was only avialable in canada, and it was a 1.7L
ctr pistions are cool, but not good for any type of forced induction
the head is getting polished and new valves, and springs are going in
hopefully in another couple weeks she'll be running again

stock gsr, i zapped strapped the secondaries open
if anything ill port the gsr a bit, and then see what happens, i want to do some sort of forced induction, cuz i have no where near the talent that eric has, so ill do it the easy way

you strapped the secondaries open? all you have to do is just remove the vacuum hose on the secondaries and it will stay open. vacuum keeps them closed and no vacuum keeps them open.
How much would you gain if you leave the secondaries open anyway????
I think that would hurt a basically stock GSR motor...
The ECU is set for a dual stage and the VTEC comes on to early like around 4400 rpms...
Those secordaries are supoose to be closed to help with torque. Then at 5700 or 5800 the secordaries open up for the top end....

but with the p28 ecu its not programed for secondaries only the p72 (gsr ecu) is, with them closed is choking the motor, this way i get max air flow.
kinda ot, but what year is that fastback? you got plans for any crazy motors? My roomate has a real nice 65 red fastback with white racing stripes and a 302 with race cams. Both your cars are

thanks
its a 68 fb, ive had it for about 5 years, its got a 302 bored .030" over, forged pistons, 9.5:1 comp, cam. headers, shelby high rise intake, ported and polished heads
its rust free, and the plan was to build a shelby replica, now i might just turn it into my version of eleanor, and take it to the track and have it as my weekend worrior
