KONI cellular polyurethane bumpstop
I was just going to purchase some from Acura when I remembered that Koni sold bumpstops. The only problem is that they have different types such as progressive soft, progressive hard, linear soft....etc. I'm not sure exactly which one to get. My car will be daily driven as well as auto-X'ed. Maybe I should just save myself the headache and just buy from Acura and just trim them as Eibach suggests for the Prokit. Does anybody have any experience with these? The Koni's are actually cheaper than the factory bumpstops, but money will not be a factory in making my decision.
Thanks
Thanks
I cut my stock bumps in half, now my front wheels bottom on the wheel well. It could be the offset on my 17's, but I am going to try new bumpstops and cross my fingers. I have read posts w/ people saying that you must cut the stops, otherwise you dont see the full travel of the shock, and they will ride on the bump stop. I think it is more a function of how much of a drop you have. For myself, I have pro-kits, and stock height on my Konis. I think because I have so much travel (minimal drop) that I need longer (between stock, and cut in half stock) bump stops. If your car is dumped, and you have stock bumpstops, then I see a problem w/ limited travel. Try just cutting 1/3 of the stop.
