Very true because all the non-vtec lobes will measure the same!! Vtec Lobe will answer your question!!

the skunk2 are stamped with an "M" on both cams, between the 2nd and 3rd set of lobes. the stage is stamped with the number corresponding to that set on the intake cam. hth.

Would it be possible for you to get a better pic of the cam ends? the little grooves that people use to ID stock cams? I think one of the cams I had, had 2 little rings and the other one was smooth.
Im starting to think it's possible they are stage2s. I had my car dynod and the guy was asking me if i really had skunk2 stage1s cuz he couldnt make any power unless he left the cams zeroed out. Something definitely odd cuz he was telling me I should be making more power and he spent all day dynoing it to try to get more juice out... total of 19 runs.
I did a valve adjustment just before I installed the skunk2s. All the valve lashes cept 4 of them were in spec. What are Stage 2s lash specs? tia

i'm sorry i can't get you any pics because the cams are in. the stage2 are good upper rpm range cams and seem to fall on its face some in the lower/midrange. i still only have the stock redline and compression(they love higher compression).
they should be .007 intake/.008 exhaust. hth.

crazy...? sure...
just answering tilt's ? about valve lash and why he might have such a hard time getting power from the cams with his setup.

Here's some pictures of how the Skunk2 Stage 1 cams looked like when I first got them, Brand new:
Came with the CARB Sticker too:

This doesn't really apply to this thread but I figure some of you might have stage 2 cams. But does anyone know what the max cam advance/retard you can do with this cams before valve to valve contact. I usually get the answer no more than 5 degrees aparts or 2 degress in either way. Can anyone verify this ?
