Default Hids in CTR lights...

ok, I have the chance to get some real 00 CTR headlights to replace my leaky krylons, but I have a set of HIDs from Autolamps-online in mine. The CTR lights don't have the little shield in them, so how will that affect my lights...

the question is CTR lights+Hids=Blindness for oncoming traffic?

I don't have the CTR lights, nor do i have HID, but i heard that without the reflective covering over the bulb, the beam isn't as sharp.

yes, and yet the beam pattern is the same issue. right hand drive is right hand drive. true it doesnt answer the question about the shield thing, but you either will be blinding everyone, or have to aim your headlights to a uselessly low point.

wow.. how did i miss this one? .. anyways, i have CTR and HID's. it's crazy without the diffuser shield. without them the light-beams glare upward. so i have to aim them to the downward-most position. i'm don't notice the flaring at all. HID's look amazing as is and the whole idea is to produce a whiter, purer light. hotspots don't bother me at all b/c i can adjust them to my liking.

even this unshielded HID kit doesnt give off too much glare at night..

but i would recommend the autolamps kit because it has a glare controller on the bottom of the bulb..
