best oe pistons for my set up?
right now i have pr3 pistons and my comperrions reads about 270psi on the meter i want to raise my comp but not to where it would be unreliable what pistons would you recommend? my set up is in my sig
thanks
thanks
Well the compression test you are doing and raising your compression by changing your pistons is two differn't things. The PCT's are the highest. 6.01cc PDD vs 8.63cc PDD.
I got ya 1% right here.

Yeah, but he just has them mixed up. I really don't think he's trying to go past 270. That's already rediculously high as is. Plenty strong motor. I can't see PCT's raising it that much. I wouldn't worry unless I was down below like 180-190.
ok maybee i should have said this before i have to get new pistons because the ring lands on most of mine are broken 3 to be exact and i just wondered if i needed to get different ones to help me have a lil more power
thanks
thanks

B16B pistons.
stock 3 layer... the guy that built it said it would be 14-1 i thought that was a bit high he was also trying to sell me some more pistons he had which were itr copies with some kinda coating on the sides of them
I have pct's in my gs-r motor and my compression guage broke when I tried to do the test. It hit 300psi with approx 5 motor rotations @ wot. This was on the #4 cylinder after that my guage wouldn't hold pressure anymore.
Just to give example of cylinder pressure with pct's.
I also believe the head is milled some.

thats bull, 14.1 itsnt even possible with pcts and a two layer,
p30s have 11.3:1 with stock head gasket, and 11.6 with a two layer according to c-speed
