Did you change your bulb or the entire housing?

Ditto. To get the clip in requires practice. It took me a long long time when I first did it. It did reach a point of frustration. Now, it's like one or two tries. If I could describe it in words. In-up-in-over-down. Keep the moves linier, rather than rounded. The clip is a must to hold the bulb right. It feels a bit different with and without the bulb, but the steps are the same. I would say try it with an old bulb so you avoid touching (or banging) the new bulb around in the housing, until you got the touch. Lastly, try using your middle finger on the clip cause it's got better length, strength, and control.

Don't have a digital camera to take any pics. It can only go in one way. This is a bad example, but here it is }

The top and bottom need to go in. It pivots on those area. And the clip swings open where it locks.
