Default Here is my B18C5 powered CRX

Hey.

I just installed a brand new ITR block and head i bought from the Acura dealer.
Can't tell yet how fast it is since I am breaking in the engine, but so far it feels better than the old b16 I had in there.

Hope the image works

thanks

ahhh...you need the itr manifold!!! b16a manifold on a type r...noooo. no doubt will you feel the difference though. they say type r's don't have torque. well in a crx they do. low end is great.

Looks very intimidating......Is that A/C I see hooked up there?? I assume you just interchanged the ITR for the B16, so the a/c fits ok still?? I might go that same route later, and right now my B16 has a/c so I don't want to loose it.

The car is in a state of flux right now.
I used to have a carbonfiber hood but I sold it, (also got rid of the spoiler you see.)
because I bought a JDm front end minus the hood, which I will get in carbonfiber again, but for the JDm front end.
About the intake manifold, yes I know the B16 is restrictive, but since I am breaking in the engine, it works just fine.
As soon as I make more money, I will most definitely get it along with a Spoon 70mm throttle body.
In the mean time check my page about the CRX
http://www.iag.net/~accord/crxpage.html

Thanks

how much did the motor cost because it looks like the cover was painted i just went to look at mine at is more dull then yours. just wonderin if it is a real b18c5 because they cost a lot of money i somebody that was even a little smart would never go to the dealer to get a motor

I used the b16 valve cover and a few other parts, and yes I do have a type R motor
Here is a picture of the new block when I brought it home
I have a friend who works at the dealer, so I got a price most people would never be able to get.

See the red over the Block deignation?

Mine also was bought brand new at Naples acura in Fla. The head was bought brand new 3months prior to the bottom end. When I got my bottom end I immediately removed the pistons and had some spoon jdm itr pistons put in. Spaceballs, how much you pay for the short block? Im. me if you dont want it public info. If you look in the pic of my motor you will see the same orange b18c5 markings. edit, sorry didnt see the post where you didnt want to say what you paid.
